Fragments of Vessels
“Perhaps no town has known more strife than mountainside Hammerfall. With the laying off of more than half the mining population, and the current two Guild senate within the town, Hammerfall is in dire need of your support. Please, King Blackstone, I beg you to send some amount of goods to the honest folk left in our poor city.
I may be naïve in thinking this letter would arrive to you personally, and not read by some senate office clerk, but please listen! The people of Hammerfall have had to turn to crime to make a living since you dismissed the royal guard, and the only protection the city can turn to is the Ambershard goons who prowl the street at night, looking for someone to rob! If you can find it in your heart to send some sort of aid, it would surely cheer up these kind folk. The dwarven heart has always been as strong as stout, and as warm as whiskey, so by my very family name I implore you good sir!”
-Garlang Brassward, letter sent directly by post to King Blackstone
“Garlang Clanless, this is a notice of repossession. Your current estate is in title claimed to the Brassward name, of which you have not shown proper ownership of identity. As there is no current living relative of the Brassward name within the state of Mithras, all estate assets held within property and goods are being turned over to the City of Hammerfall, to be held by Guild Senator of Housing Lady Ambershard, until such time as liquidation. Your person and such personal affects that are not in belonging to the estate Brassward are to be removed in haste, with closure of possession due by the third of Longing’s Night.”
